 GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

SoccerTots is a weekday daytime program for pre-schoolers aged 2 to 4 years. The goal of the program is to give tots in this age group a first taste of soccer and the chance to become comfortable with a soccer ball in a fun and safe environment, while running off some toddler energy through the fall/winter/spring months !

The state of the art 186ft x 101ft FIFA approved artificial INDOOR turf field at Durham Indoor Soccer Centre is an exceptionally child-friendly and forgiving surface for young children to play on. 

In addition, Durham Indoor Soccer Centre installed an OUTDOOR turf field of the same quality in May 2005 (see NewsBox on the Home Page for picture), and late Spring and early Fall Sessions may take place on the outdoor field, weather permitting.

Class Times

All Classes are on Wednesdays

9.30 - 10.15am	3-4 yr olds
10.30 - 11.15am	2-3 yr olds
11.30am - 12.15pm	2-3 yr olds
12.30 - 1.15pm	2-4 yr olds

Activities

• Each Tot will participate in a variety of drills and activities with a size 3 ball appropriate to their age. Themes familiar to children in this age group (such as "What's the Time Mr. Wolf?") are incorporated into the activities. Starting from around the third week, activities will end with a "mini-game". Cones and skittles are among the equipment used, and stickers are awarded for effort ! At the end of the full session, each Tot receives a Certificate of Participation and a ribbon.
  
• The maximum class size is 16.  Length of Class : After discussion with parents, class time in both age categories will consist of 6 x 45 minute sessions.

Parent/Caregiver Participation is Essential !

• Please note that because of the young ages of the children, this is a Parent/Caregiver and Tot Particpation program. Parents/Caregivers are required to be on the field at all times with their Tots and to participate fully in the activities. Parents/Caregivers should therefore come dressed to "play" in comfy clothes and running shoes and should expect a "work out" of their own ! (We regret that a parent/caregiver who consistently fails to participate with their Tot will be asked to withdraw from the Program in order to avoid disruption to other participants.)
  
• Please also note that the program cannot accommodate older siblings as "extras" on the field. This is to ensure the safety of younger participants and potential disruption to the program. Babies in strollers/car seats are welcome provided their parent/caregiver is confident he/she can still participate actively on the field with their Tot.  Should you bring a second sibling of similar age who participates on the field, you will be invoiced for the second participant.

The SoccerTots Fee is $60 (incl GST) per 6 week session. 3 items are required for registration :

The Small Print…..

Please note that the Waiver is a mandatory requirement of the Durham Indoor Soccer Centre's insurance company. Registration is on a strictly first-come first-served basis. Faxed registration forms or forms not accompanied by payment will not be processed until payment is received in full. Post dated cheques are not accepted. NSF Fee : $15. Cancellation prior to session start is subject to a $15 admin fee. Pro-rated refunds after session start are for withdrawal on medical grounds only. The Fee is inclusive of GST (GST No : 86439 5488 RT0001).
