Mens Fall 08 League Registration Information

Registration Open to Teams or Individuals

The 7th Fall season of DISC's Indoor 7-a-side Men's Soccer League will begin on 30 Sep 2008.  Teams will play a minimum 12 * 50 minute games with a target of 14 games (including playoffs). For Fall 2008, DISC is bringing forward its start times so that games will finish no later than 11.30pm. Games will be played once per week starting at 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 9.30pm or 10.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and occasional Fridays.   This year we are expecting up to 32 teams to be divided into three / four divisions. Placement in divisions will be determined by DISC based on previous performance and outdoor status. Teams may be invited to play in exhibition games to assess their ability. Teams are required to provide their own numbered uniforms

Team Registration:  Teams may secure a spot in the league by completing a team registration form and sending it with a $300 deposit. Teams registered in the Fall 2007/Winter 2008/Summer 2008 seasons of the league will have a priority sign up period until 31st July.  New teams will be processed on a first come first served basis from 1st August 2008. The league fee for a team of up to 15 players is $2,250.  A discounted team fee of $2,100 applies to a full team of up to 15 players completing their registration, making their deposit payment before 31st July 2008 and full payment by 31st August 2008. To qualify for this discount, team organisers must provide a team registration form and individual registrations for each player with full team payment before this date. For teams wishing to carry more than 15 players, additional players will pay $25 if registering at the same time as the team or $40 if registering eparately. Individuals registering on a team directly with DISC rather than through their team captain are required to pay the full individual registration fee of $150 ($140 before 31st July). DISC reserves the right to apply the full individual fee of $150 per player to any team not completing their registration by the deadlines above. Schedules and rosters will be posted on the website and e-mailed to players who provide their e-mail address on or before 22nd September 2008. 
 
 
Individual Registration: The cost per player will be $150. An early bird discount price of $140 is applicable for any registrations received before 31st July 2008. Individual registrations will be accepted and players will be allocated to teams by DISC where spots are available. The fee covers all costs (Field Rental, Registration, Match Balls, Administration, Referees & GST) except uniforms. Numbered uniforms are to be supplied by players and are mandatory. If a team does not have a uniform, DISC will provide players numbered players shirts for a small fee. Players will deposit $20 on receiving the shirt and receive a $10 refund when the shirt is returned. DISC will provide pinnies in the early weeks of the season to differentiate teams.  Teams without uniforms after the fourth week of the season may not be permitted to play. A Late Fee of $20 will be charged to any player whose registration is received after 15 Sep 2008. Schedules and rosters will be posted on the website and e-mailed to players who provide their e-mail address before 22nd Sep 2008. Players without access to the website should provide a self addressed, stamped envelope with their registration to receive a hard copy.
 
Playing Days:  Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 7.30pm - 11.30pm (finish time) & occasional Fridays 
 
Priority Sign Up: Teams and players participating in the Fall 07, Winter 08 or Summer 08 DISC house leagues will have a priority sign up for the Fall (Oct 08) session until Jul 31st 2008.  
 
Registration: To register a team, please complete a team registration form and return with a $300 deposit.  The full balance of the team registration fee with completed registration forms is due by Aug 31st. Failure to meet this deadline may result in forfeit of the deposit and loss of a place in the league. Registration may be sent by mail to 1289 Terwillegar Ave Oshawa L1J7A4 or delivered to the Open House Registrations at the same address on the following dates;
Thursday June 26th 6-9pm
Wednesday July 30th 6-9pm
Thursday 28th August 6-9pm
Saturday 30th August 9am-Noon
 
Alternatively, registrations may be left in the black mailbox outside the glass front doors at DISC or the white mail box at the top of the stairs - no cash.
 
Registration of new players/teams is strictly on first come first served basis only.

Cancellations made before Sep 10th 2007 are subject to a $25 administration fee. There are no refunds after this date. Individual players cancellating on medical grounds supported by a Doctor's note will be given a pro-rated refund based on the number of games played less $25 admin fee. Players receiving the team discount are not elligible for a refund. However if a player withdraws from a team, the team may add a player to the roster for a single $40 regn fee and the new player can compensate the withdrawing player appropriately.
